Accounting Manager/Supervisor

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting operations in Raleigh, North Carolina. This role will oversee the integrity of the general ledger, guide the month-end close process, and support accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, a hands-on approach to reconciliations and journal entries, and the ability to coordinate effectively with auditors and internal stakeholders.Responsibilities:• Lead the monthly close cycle by coordinating timelines, reviewing results, and ensuring financial data is finalized accurately and on schedule.• Maintain oversight of the general ledger, including account analysis, balance review, and resolution of discrepancies.• Prepare and review journal entries to support routine accounting activity and ensure compliance with established policies.• Perform detailed account reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain accurate financial records.• Support the preparation of financial statements and related schedules for internal review and external reporting needs.• Partner with audit teams by organizing documentation, responding to requests, and helping facilitate financial statement audit activities.• Monitor accounting processes and recommend improvements that strengthen accuracy, consistency, and internal controls.• Supervise day-to-day accounting work, providing guidance and review to ensure deliverables meet quality and deadline expectations.Requirements• Demonstrated experience managing month-end close activities within an accounting function.• Strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting principles.• Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing account reconciliations and journal entries.• Familiarity with financial statement audit support and auditor request management.• Ability to identify discrepancies, analyze account activity, and resolve issues efficiently.• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.• Effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and leadership.Job typePerm
