Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive preliminary interviews, meticulously documenting each client's journey from initial consultation through to the conclusion of their treatment.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health by employing evidence-based assessment tools and therapeutic approaches.
\n
• Develop, implement, and continuously tailor personalized intervention and recovery plans for individuals, couples, families, and therapy groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and supportive individual and group therapy sessions that foster a safe space for self-exploration and healing.
\n
• Monitor and document client progress, utilizing electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for accurate and efficient record-keeping.
\n
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create coherent intervention plans that prioritize client safety and well-being.
\n
• Keep communication lines open with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring a continuum of care.
\n
• Proactively identify and mitigate behaviors and situations that may hinder clients' recovery efforts.
\n
• Provide support and education to family members and primary caregivers to help them navigate challenges related to mental health.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Soulful Serenity, you will play an integral role in facilitating therapeutic support for clients from various backgrounds, ages, and situations, ensuring that each individual feels heard, supported, and empowered.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Prior professional experience in mental health counseling is essential.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, will greatly benefit your workflow.

• Experience dealing with co-occurring disorders, including physical health conditions and substance use disorders is highly desirable.

• A strong understanding of best practices as recommended by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) will set candidates apart.

• In-depth knowledge of the effects of medications used in conjunction with mental health treatment.

• Demonstrated expertise in therapeutic modalities and techniques suitable for various client needs.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and team members.

Compensation and Benefits\n
