Business Development Regional Manager

Train, manage, and lead a team of Business Development Executives and Independent Sales Representatives within the assigned geographic region to establish, maintain, grow and generate revenue. The position requires the incumbent to gather market conditions and intelligence, develop action plans, and integrate the sales force to work toward achieving the established company goals (i.e. growth, profitability, market share, etc.). Duties and Responsibilities Lead, develop and direct the region to deliver sales revenue and profit objectives. Work closely with Vice President of Sales Operations to achieve company objectives. Lead the region and oversee planning integrated with the business strategies in partnership with senior management team. Cultivate and maintain a strong customer focused approach. Leverage current and past relationships to open doors to new business opportunities. Integrate competitor information and customer knowledge with customer priorities to develop business opportunities. Establish and/or develop sales strategy and tactics for assigned Region and effectively communicate to sales team. Technical/Functional Lead Sales Team to meet or exceed sales goals, agent base and existing agency productivity. Market penetration. Manage, lead improve Viamerica’s agent sales force and grow Viamerica’s agent relationships, agent sales and maximize total gross profit margins and operating income for Viamericas agent business overseeing Viamerica’s agent sales force, revenue management and agents’ P&L. You will be responsible to grow the number of transactions, gross profit and EBIT for the agents assigned in your Region. You will be expected to accomplish this through a combination of: a.Growth of money transfer transactions, GPM and cost management from existing Viamerica’s agents, by agent, bycorridor through sales, revenue and relationship management. b. Regional sales management and sales force – new agent sales, exclusive agent sales, sales quota management and evaluation, training and sales support of agent sales force and direct closure of new relationships and agreements deals with agent sales force. c.Identifying, signing and delivering new agent relationships and business directly. d. Growth of Bill Payment, Check Cashing and Top Up Calling Card transactions. GPM and cost management from existing and new Viamericas agents, by agent, by corridor through direct sales as well as sales, revenue and relationship management. Monitor progress against key performance indicators for region, ensure that progress is effectively communicated and implement strategies and tactics to address performance gaps. Identify and execute against new business opportunities within your sales region. Employee development and performance management in a metric driven environment. Develop skills to assist Sales Team discover new business opportunities. Recruit, develop, coach and motivate a strong sales team. Established contacts and relationships with potential agents. Maintain and increase same store sales Work closely with Vice President of Sales Operations in order to create and develop sales strategies. Implement and enforce company decisions within the sales region. Travel to different states in the region to work closely with Sales Team and visit agents in the area to strengthen relationships and to increase same store sales. Ensure that agents in the region get the best service possible from our Sales and Agent support staff. Support collection activities in the region. Work closely with other Departments to facilitate sales activities. Sales Roles Sign new accounts as needed to hit region target Monitors SRs & TM’s, signings performance weekly basis Involved in Sales presentations for high volume prospects Identify region’s negative variances and develop action plan to recover business Sell our value proposition Manage P&L Train and coach new hires (Sales Force) Maintain and supports top accounts in the region Time distribution: 50 % - New Agent recruitment, 50 % - Organic Growth Information Security Responsibilities Make sure you and your team read, acknowledge and comply with Viamericas’ Staff Information Security Policy. Make sure you and your team attend periodic Information Security training provided by Viamericas. Report any event that might be an Information Security Incident: clicked on a malicious link, downloaded and opened a suspicious file, etc. Supervisory Responsibilities Business Development Executives Independent Sales Representatives Qualifications Must have great follow-though skills. Ambitious, energetic, confident, with a strong work ethic. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing and/or Finance, or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years sales experience with a consumer/service products or retail organization. Experience with Business to Business Sales. Proven track record for results to be metrically driven. Strong negotiation and sales skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English/Spanish). Ability to work in a fast paced, competitive, team oriented environment. Ability to plan and manage at both the strategic and operational levels. Experience with specific sales methodology and ability for execution of the programs. Experience in managing against P&L goals budgeting forecasting and managing results. Proven track record and positive results of leadership capability to lead region organizational change. Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level, customers and staff. Excellent organization and time management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is preferred. Must be willing to travel up to 60% of the time.
