A large Data Center in Burlington, TX is hiring multiple Data Center OSP Fiber Technicians to join the team for a great long term opportunity!

Job Summary:

As an Outside Plant (OSP) Fiber Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and expanding the physical infrastructure that supports the data center’s connectivity. This includes fiber optic networks, underground conduits, and aerial cabling systems.

Job Duties:

• Fiber Infrastructure Maintenance
• Inspect, test, and repair fiber optic cables and splice enclosures
• Perform routine audits of fiber routes and document any anomalies
• Monitor signal integrity and troubleshoot transmission issues
• Installation & Upgrades
• Install new fiber lines, conduits, and related hardware
• Assist with expansions of the outside plant network to support new server clusters
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for large-scale installations
• Site Surveys & Documentation

Qualifications:

• 1-3+ years of prior Data Center, Fiber, Cabling experience required.
• Knowledge of structured cabling standards and fiber optic technologies.
• Familiarity with environmental systems such as HVAC, electrical backup systems, and fire suppression systems.
• Low voltage experience is a big plus but not required.
• Prefer cabling experience (coax, fiber, cat5, cat6, punch downs, etc.) but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be willing to submit to a driving record check, BG and drug screen

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of College Station, TX.

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
