Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Screening in Barrington NJ you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location where you will monitor assigned areas conduct routine patrols and remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support access activity provide outstanding customer service and communication and bring a caring reliable and team-driven approach grounded in integrity and innovation.

What Youll Do:
- Provide customer service to all visitors drivers and facility personnel by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
- Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting activity and communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the distribution location including docks trailer yards parking areas entry points and perimeter lines helping to identify unusual activity and/or policy concerns.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees contractors and delivery personnel helping to support orderly operations and proper visitor and vehicle processing.
- Observe site conditions related to cargo movement vehicle traffic and facility operations and report maintenance issues suspicious activity and/or procedural violations according to post instructions.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
