Job Title: Junior Accountant
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Junior Accountant to join our client in a role that supports key business operations and contributes to important organizational initiatives. This contract to FTE opportunity is based in the Greater Philadelphia area with a Hybrid work arrangement, while qualified candidates located outside the area may be considered for a Remote schedule within the EST time zone. The position offers the chance to work across multiple areas of accounting, contribute to financial accuracy, and collaborate with team members on reporting and operational priorities. Ideal candidates enjoy analyzing financial information, maintaining detailed records, and supporting continuous process improvements.
Compensation:
$60,000 - $70,000/year
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Junior Accountant:

• Support daily accounting operations through the preparation, review, and processing of general ledger transactions and related financial activities.
• Analyze financial data, reconcile a variety of accounts, and resolve discrepancies to promote accurate and reliable reporting.
• Coordinate activities related to monthly and annual close cycles, including the maintenance of accruals, prepaid expenses, and asset tracking records.
• Assist with financial reporting requirements, audit preparation, and the organization of supporting documentation to ensure compliance with established accounting standards.
• Contribute to operational efficiency by supporting process enhancement efforts, maintaining accounting records, and providing assistance across accounting functions as needed.

Qualifications and Skills for the Junior Accountant:

• Experience performing accounting duties involving general ledger activity, account reconciliation, and financial record maintenance.
• Working knowledge of accepted accounting principles and standard accounting practices.
• Ability to review financial information, identify irregularities, and research issues with strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and spreadsheet applications, along with the ability to support reporting and audit related activities.
