Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring an in-depth understanding of their needs.

• Collaborate directly with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their individual goals, preferences, and requirements.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to the client’s specific conditions.

• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to foster empowerment and resilience.

• Monitor and document client progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to adapt to evolving needs and ensure effective outcomes.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to deliver integrated care for clients.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to continually refine and improve therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines in documentation and client interactions.

• Advocate for clients, working to eliminate stigma surrounding mental health and addressing their comprehensive needs.

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Many of our clients come from vulnerable backgrounds, including those who are homeless, refugees, or survivors of domestic abuse. Your expertise and therapeutic support will directly impact their mental well-being, offering them the tools and strategies necessary to overcome their challenges and achieve stability in their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon is required.
