A growing and diversified organization is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its finance team inLakewood, NJ. This position will work directly alongside an experienced CFO and play an integral role in supporting the accounting operations across multiple business divisions.This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant looking to grow professionally while gaining exposure to a variety of industries in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the day-to-day accounting operations for multiple business entities.
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Process journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable as needed.
• Prepare financial reports and schedules for management.
• Monitor company expenses and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Support audits, tax preparation, and other compliance requirements.
• Work closely with the CFO on special projects and process improvements.
• Help maintain strong internal controls and accounting procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• 1-5+ years of accounting experience (public or private accounting).
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
