The Carrington at Lincolnwood is seeking a talented Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and creativity in a supportive and collaborative environment. Join us in delivering high-quality meals to our residents and guests while working in a state-of-the-art kitchen facility.
Daily Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Ensure food is prepared and served in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized work station
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
Required Skills:
- Menu Planning: Ability to create and execute diverse and appealing menus
- Pasta: Proficiency in preparing various types of pasta dishes
- Broiling: Experience in broiling meats and seafood to perfection
- Scratch Cooking: Strong foundation in preparing dishes from scratch
- Kitchen Management: Ability to oversee kitchen operations and staff
Nice to Have Skills:
- Plate Presentation: Experience in creating visually appealing dishes
- Food Quality: Commitment to using fresh and high-quality ingredients
- Portion Control: Understanding of portion sizes and consistency
- Degree in Culinary Arts: Formal education in culinary arts or related field
- Dessert Making: Skill in creating delectable desserts and pastries
Salary and Benefits:
- Minimum Salary: $40,000.00
- Maximum Salary: $48,000.00
