Job Summary A growing plaintiff-side employment law practice in Sherman Oaks, CA is seeking an Employment Law Paralegal to join an established legal services team on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation-focused paralegal who wants to take ownership of meaningful casework, work closely with experienced legal leadership, and contribute to the continued growth of an expanding employment law practice. The Employment Law Paralegal will support active litigation matters from intake and investigation through discovery, filings, case management, and trial preparation. This role offers direct one-on-one collaboration with the attorney leading the employment practice, providing visibility, mentorship, and the chance to play a key role in shaping workflows, organizing systems, and strengthening day-to-day litigation operations. This opportunity is well suited for a proactive, detail-oriented paralegal who enjoys a collaborative environment, values supportive leadership, and wants to grow beyond a traditional support role. Key Responsibilities Draft, propound, and respond to discovery, subpoenas, pleadings, complaints, legal notices, and other litigation documents. Manage court calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, filings, service requirements, and case logistics. Prepare, finalize, file, and serve documents in California state and federal courts while ensuring compliance with filing requirements. Maintain organized case files, document production lists, Dropbox folders, templates, filing shells, and case management workflows. Communicate with court clerks, vendors, process servers, and involved parties to obtain case information and support timely case movement. Assist with fact investigation, records review, trial preparation, exhibit organization, and drafting trial materials. Compensation and Benefits Direct hire opportunity.
