Location: Waukesha, WI
Compensation: $24–$26/hour
Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 Hours/Week
Work Environment: 100% Onsite | Business Casual

Overview
We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced accounting team by helping process a high volume of AP transactions and reduce invoice backlog. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Process AP vouchers, vendor credits, and debit memos accurately and timely
- Review invoices for proper documentation, approvals, and payment processing
- Verify three-way matching for production purchase orders and invoice matching for indirect purchases
- Research and resolve vendor, buyer, and internal department inquiries
- Review AP statements, credit memos, and payment discrepancies while ensuring accuracy
Requirements
- 2+ years of recent Accounts Payable experience
- Experience processing high-volume invoices in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of invoice processing, three-way matching, and vendor account reconciliation
- Ability to identify, research, and resolve payment or invoice discrepancies
- Proficiency with Excel and ERP/accounting systems
