Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to manage full-cycle invoice processing, site utilities tracking, and routine financial reconciliations. In this role, you will handle daily transactional accounting tasks while assisting with month-end close procedures and ad hoc financial reporting. There are flexibility on the hours - we are targeting between 20-30 hours to start with the possibility of going full time in the future.

Responsibilities

• Invoice Management: Retrieve incoming bills from third-party portals, apply proper general ledger (GL) coding, and process payments within Microsoft Dynamics GP

• Multi-Site Utility Tracking: Monitor, log, and audit utility statements across 150+ operational locations to ensure timely payment and accurate record-keeping

• Cash & Tax Processing: Post incoming check and ACH payments to correct accounts; research, allocate, and code property tax disbursements

• Month-End Support: Assist the finance team with monthly close activities, account reconciliations, and routine AP audit schedules

• Reporting & Projects: Generate standard financial reports and take ownership of special accounting initiatives as assigned

• Administrative Operations: Maintain structured digital and physical filing systems; manage basic office functions including scanning, archiving, and mail distribution
