Position: Midlevel Associate – Emerging Companies & Venture Capital
Location: New York, NY | Full-Time

Direct Counsel represents an AmLaw firm seeking a midlevel associate to join its expanding Emerging Companies & Venture Capital group in the New York office.

This practice represents innovative companies and their founders at every stage of growth—from formation and early financing to complex mergers and acquisitions—as well as the venture funds that invest in them. Clients range from early-stage startups to established, multi-billion-dollar technology leaders.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four years of relevant experience, preferably with a comparable law firm, along with outstanding academic credentials and strong professional references. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, solid analytical abilities (including proficiency in math and Excel), and a demonstrated ability to manage relationships with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel. Admission to the New York Bar is required.

Compensation & Benefits:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $310,000 to $390,000, along with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
