Updated Guarantee Weekly Hours:
- If scheduled for 48 hrs/week, guarantee is 36 hrs - OT billed after 48 hrs
- If scheduled for 36 hrs/week, guarantee is 24 hrs - OT billed after 40 hrs
- If scheduled for 40 hrs/week, guarantee is 30 or 32 hrs dependent on scheduling hrs/week

Very team oriented environment!
Surgical Technologist assists nursing staff with patient care in the surgical suite within the limits described in their job description. Always works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Assists surgical team during operative procedures.
Arranges and inventories sterile set-up for operation, and passes items as needed to operating team.
Assists in preparing and moving patients, and in cleaning the OR theater.
Prepares specimens for analysis.

Unit Details:

Patient population: Pediatric-Adult
EMR: Cerner
Operating Rooms: 16 rooms with coverage in Labor & Delivery for C-sections.
Types of procedures: Neuro, Ortho, ENT, Thoracic, Vascular, General, and Gynecology
Average procedures per day: 50

Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!!
NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).

Traveler must be available for call coverage on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year Eve and New Year Day. RTO during these holidays will not be approved. Thanks!

Non-billable orientation: 8hrs
Holiday, OT and Call-back multipliers: 1.25%
Call: 4$/hour
Charge: Not applicable for this need

2+ years of current Surgical Tech experience
Experience with Ortho (total joints), Urology, Vascular, General Surgery -- MUST be highly comfortable & proficient in these service lines across the board!
Prior travel experience - Highly preferred
NBSTSA equivalent certificates accepted

Work History
Skills Checklist (pertinent to position), current to 1 year
1 Supervisory Signed Reference (from within the past two years of employment)
License/Certifications - Must be uploaded with profile (NBSTSA (or equivalent, BLS - Facility will not pend license/certs)

Weekend Requirements : TBD including holiday rotation if scheduled
On Call Requirements : 1 call shift per month if needed
