Nursing Secretary - SNF Located In Queens, NY
The Nursing Secretary plays a vital role in supporting multiple units by managing patient registration, coordinating appointments, and maintaining seamless communication. This position involves frequent patient contact and requires strong organizational skills to handle scheduling, record keeping, and phone management efficiently.
Salary: $60K to $70K (based on experience)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems
- Must have nursing home/long term care experience
- Excellent telephone etiquette
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills to manage diverse tasks
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Must possess the ability to positively interact with personnel, resident, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- Must be able to handle a variety of assignments, some of moderate complexity and requiring considerable familiarity with the operating details of the facility
