Accounting Clerk

Job Summary

A growing manufacturing company in South Gate, CA is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role is a great fit for an accounting professional who enjoys accurate financial processing, organized records, and supporting daily accounting operations in a busy office environment.

The Accounting Clerk will support accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, ERP or accounting system data entry, and general administrative functions. Key Responsibilities

- Process accounts payable invoices, assist with vendor payments, and help resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Generate customer invoices, apply payments, and support accounts receivable activity.
- Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, customer accounts, inventory records, and general ledger details as needed.
- Enter, verify, and maintain accurate accounting data in ERP or accounting software systems.
- Assist with month-end close, reports, spreadsheets, audits, and financial documentation.
- Support office operations by answering calls, maintaining files, preparing documents, and operating office equipment.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.

Additional Skills

Required Qualifications and Skills

- 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting clerk experience required.
- Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and general accounting principles.
- Experience using ERP systems or accounting software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong data entry accuracy, attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
