Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth mental health assessments to evaluate patient needs and formulate effective, tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to deliver compassionate care to individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate psychoeducational groups to foster community and provide support for shared mental health concerns, enhancing patient engagement.

• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to provide holistic care that addresses both psychological and emotional needs.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients during mental health emergencies, offering critical assessments and necessary resources.

• Educate patients about mental health conditions, treatment options, and local resources, empowering them to take control of their mental health journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The counselors at Brighter Health Psychotherapy work with a diverse clientele experiencing a range of mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and substance abuse. Many clients benefit from intensive, individualized care. Your role as a counselor is to foster a safe and trusting therapeutic environment that encourages open dialogue and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required. Candidates with advanced degrees (Master's or Doctorate) are strongly preferred.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methodologies.
