Shipping & Receiving SupervisorReporting to the MP & L Manager, the Shipping Supervisor will coordinate the activities of the Shipping Department including preparation and shipment of finished products to customers. Ensures shipments meet delivery requirements.ResponsibilitiesRecord incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment.Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed order.Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.Prepare bills of lading, shipping labels.Inspect incoming metal and verify that it meets specifications.Create shipping schedule for customers and suppliers.Collaborate with various members of management team to ensure timely delivery of products or delivery of cores and metal.Conduct daily cycle counts and send out daily ship list and short list.Perform customer return processing.Perform activities to support month end inventory.Resolve shipping issues with customers or freight carriers.Create cost reduction recommendations and continuous improvement plans applicable to material flow and handling in shipping and receiving.Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies.Ensure team members are fully trained and able to fill in for any member.Follow all safety and environmental guidelines in the plant.Approve team member timecards in Plex.5S work area.Perform other duties as assigned.Academic Requirements3+ years' shipping and receiving experience within manufacturing environment, automotive industry preferred.Strong understanding of inventory management processes and systems, as well products and production processes.Required Skills & ExperienceExperience with Excel, Plex and other software.Knowledge of quality control standards and systems.Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with people.Strict attention to detail and accuracy.Good reasoning ability is required to solve a wide range of business problems.Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and deal with stressful situations.Must be able to work a flexible schedule and overtime based on customer needs.Must be able to receive and maintain a mobile equipment license.What Linamar Has to OfferCompetitive CompensationEmployee Benefits package includes but not limited to, Drug, Dental & Vision etc.401k ProgramOpportunities for career advancement.Sustainability CouncilCommunity based outreach supporting both local and global initiatives and charities.Discounts for local vendors and events, including auto supplier discounts.About UsLinamar Corporation is a Canadian-founded global manufacturer, renowned for its advanced engineering and innovative product development across diverse industries and markets.
