In this crucial role, you will evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs for patients suffering from orthopedic injuries and conditions, contributing significantly to their recovery and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

This role is onsite at our Rehabilitation Center in Sanford, Florida, where our dynamic Environmental team works diligently to create a supportive atmosphere for both staff and patients. You will work a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, with variable weekend availability, to meet the needs of our diverse patient population.

Key Responsibilities

• Examine and evaluate patients with functional limitations and disabilities to determine appropriate diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments, including measuring progress and adjusting as necessary.
• Provide direct patient care, implementing interventions that may include manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education.
• Consult with other healthcare professionals regarding the continuum of care for patients, ensuring comprehensive support throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Maintain accurate documentation of treatment sessions, patient progress, and discharge plans while complying with all regulatory standards and rules.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes, sharing insights about treatment effectiveness and patient feedback.
• Mentor and supervise support staff, working closely with physical therapy assistants (PTAs) and students to foster their professional growth and clinical acumen.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities, contributing to initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, such as community outreach and quality improvement projects.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this position is on patients with orthopedic conditions, including post-surgical recovery from injuries, fractures, and chronic conditions like arthritis. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, catering to individuals of various age groups and cultural backgrounds. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Florida.
• Demonstrated strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of care, adhering to ethical guidelines and compliance regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation best practices.
• Previous experience in a rehabilitation or acute care setting is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
