Work Environment

This position is primarily onsite, providing in-home therapy to our patients. You will work closely with individuals in their own living environments, allowing for personalized assessments and treatments that are designed to meet their unique needs. The work schedule will be Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, offering a structured yet flexible work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and directing comprehensive treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function.
• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients' physical abilities using a range of diagnostic assessments focused on muscles, nerves, joints, and functional capacities.
• Administering therapeutic exercises tailored to individual patient needs, and efficiently guiding clients through both manual and non-manual exercises.
• Using a variety of therapeutic modalities such as traction, massage, and the application of physical agents to enhance the recovery process.
• Evaluating, fitting, and adjusting orthotic and prosthetic devices according to patient assessments, while communicating necessary modifications to supervising physicians.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, those with chronic musculoskeletal conditions, and elderly patients seeking to maintain mobility and independence. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving their overall quality of life and physical wellbeing.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree or Doctorate of Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• An active state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• At least two years of relevant experience in settings such as outpatient clinics, acute care facilities, and rehabilitation centers, with a focus on orthopedics.
• Strong proficiency in orthopedic assessment techniques, therapeutic interventions, and patient care planning.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, alongside a capacity for effective problem-solving.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems to manage patient documentation and therapy notes efficiently.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with a background in geriatric therapy or those who have worked in home health settings will find their applications particularly advantageous. Demonstrated ability in creating innovative therapy solutions and adapting treatment plans dynamically based on patient progress will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits
