Active Life Physical Therapy Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Sanford, Florida. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients by reviewing pertinent medical history, performing specialized assessments, and documenting results accurately.
• Clearly communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to both patients and their families, actively involving them in goal-setting processes.
• Demonstrate expertise in implementing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to the unique needs of each patient, while remaining adaptable to the evolving healthcare landscape.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure the highest standard of care. Recognize and document any changes in patient conditions that necessitate adjustments to their treatment plans.
• Manage discharge planning meticulously, providing comprehensive follow-up care directives. Ensure that all patient care activities are documented efficiently and accurately, which includes maintaining legible progress notes and discharge summaries.
• Optimize time management by maintaining an accurate schedule, attending meetings punctually, and meeting productivity targets.
• Engage in departmental efforts to achieve established goals and comply with all regulatory standards, including government and accreditation requirements.
• Proactively seek out continuing education opportunities to enhance professional skills and competencies; mentor students and serve as a clinical instructor when appropriate.
• Enhance the patient experience by being flexible and adaptable in providing care that meets their needs while also participating in community outreach initiatives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our diverse patient population includes individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. You will work with adults of varying ages and backgrounds, tailoring your care approaches to best suit their specific rehabilitation needs.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Licensed to practice as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Current CPR certification is required.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience is required, candidates with additional certifications in orthopedics or specialized training in advanced therapeutic techniques will be favored. Experience in a clinical education setting or mentoring students is also considered a valuable asset.

Compensation and Benefits
