Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Directing physical therapy treatment aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and restoring muscle function through evidence-based practices.
• Leading assessments to evaluate each client's functional abilities by employing diagnostic tests for muscles, nerves, and joints.
• Implementing tailored treatment plans, while also supervising physical therapy assistants to ensure adherence to care protocols.
• Conducting in-home evaluations to assess environmental factors impacting rehabilitation and making tailored recommendations to boost independence.
• Administering manual therapeutic exercises, as well as motivating clients through non-manual exercise regimens and functional activities.
• Documenting essential clinical records, including initial evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries, while ensuring compliance with OASIS guidelines.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to review and refine patient care strategies, fostering a collaborative approach to healthcare delivery.
• Instructing patients and families on the proper use and care of physical therapy devices, as well as overall wellness plans.
• Maintaining accessibility to Physical Therapy Assistants during treatments, ensuring high standards of patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on orthopedic patients who require rehabilitation following surgical procedures, injuries, or chronic conditions. You will engage with a diverse demographic, addressing unique physical challenges, and guide these individuals through their recovery journeys by emphasizing personalized treatment that aligns with their specific needs and lifestyles.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program is mandatory; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• Current licensure in good standing as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• Certification in CPR to ensure patient safety during therapy sessions.
• A valid driver's license and automobile insurance to facilitate client visits as needed.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• A commitment to clinical excellence, adaptability, and a positive demeanor conducive to a supportive work environment.

Preferred Experience

Although not required, preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of experience in either an acute care or home care setting. Familiarity with federal, state, and governing agency regulations is also beneficial in maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, tailored to your experience and qualifications.
