Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, assessing their physical condition, and identifying treatment goals.
• Developing, implementing, and adjusting personalized treatment programs based on individual patient needs and the latest clinical evidence.
• Utilizing various modalities and therapeutic techniques to promote recovery including manual therapy, exercise programs, and modalities as appropriate.
• Providing education to patients and their caregivers about their conditions, effective self-management strategies, and preventive care.
• Working with a multidisciplinary team to devise comprehensive care plans, enhancing patient outcomes through collaboration and information sharing.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation using electronic health records to track patient progress and treatment efficacy.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinic operations and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse range of patients dealing with orthopedic injuries and conditions. This may include athletes recovering from sports injuries, individuals in need of postoperative rehabilitation, and those with chronic pain issues. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping patients regain function and mobility, enabling them to return to their everyday activities and pursuits.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in word processing and utilization of electronic health records.

Preferred Experience

While previous experience in a clinical setting is not mandatory, the following would be advantageous:

Compensation and Benefits
