Position Overview

Next Step Physical Therapy & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. This role involves evaluating, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions for patients recovering from orthopedic conditions. Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include the following:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients' physical abilities, including muscle strength, joint function, and overall mobility, to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Creating, implementing, and modifying personalized treatment plans that focus on pain relief, muscle function development, and mobility restoration, all in alignment with each patient's therapeutic goals.
• Overseeing and training Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure high-quality service delivery according to established standards and the specific needs of each client.
• Administering therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to achieve desired rehabilitation outcomes.
• Evaluating and recommending adjustments to assistive devices, such as prosthetics and orthotics, to improve patients' independence and daily function.
• Maintaining accurate and detailed clinical records that include evaluations, treatment progress, and patient responses, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Participating in multidisciplinary case conferences to collaboratively develop and refine care plans and share insights on individual patient progress.
• Providing education and training to patients and their families on self-management techniques and home exercise programs to facilitate recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily serves patients with orthopedic conditions, such as post-operative rehabilitation following surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain issues. Our client population ranges from adolescents to older adults, each requiring tailored treatment approaches to meet their unique recovery challenges and goals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• An active, valid State License in Physical Therapy.
• Demonstrated clinical knowledge through at least two years of practical experience in orthopedic physical therapy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey treatment plans and collaborate with patients and team members.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and basic computer skills.
• Flexibility and ability to adapt to dynamic patient needs and treatment modalities.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience in orthopedic therapy is required, prior work experience in a collaborative rehabilitation setting will be viewed favorably. Candidates with additional certifications in specialized modalities or techniques will stand out in the selection process.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
