Work Environment

This position requires the therapist to work onsite, directly in the homes of patients throughout Sanford and surrounding areas. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate a patient's need for orthopedic therapy, utilizing standardized tests and outcome measures to develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and adapt treatment programs in accordance with the physician's care plan and current professional standards, ensuring high-quality care delivery.
• Educate and instruct patients and their families on appropriate home exercises, lifestyle modifications, and safety measures to promote recovery and prevent further injury.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure complete and accurate exchange of patient information necessary for coordinated care efforts.
• Regularly document patient progress and response to treatment in compliance with agency policies and state regulations, facilitating communication with referrers.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing therapeutic outcomes and enhancing the clinic's service model.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on orthopedic patients who may be recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. As a Senior Physical Therapist, you will tailor therapeutic approaches to a diverse patient demographic, promoting mobility and functional independence within their familiar home settings. Your ability to connect with patients and understand their unique challenges will be fundamental in guiding their rehabilitation journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree from an accredited physical therapy program.
• Current, valid state Physical Therapy license for Florida.
• Minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy setting.
• Mandatory certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR.
• Proficiency in evaluating and treating diverse medical conditions and functional disorders.
• Strong documentation skills using electronic health records and familiarity with various therapeutic modalities.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
