Role Summary
We are looking for energetic, resilient individuals to serve as the face of our organization. As a Canvasser, you will engage directly with the public in residential neighborhoods or public spaces. This is an active, goal-oriented role where your ability to communicate our mission, listen to feedback, and maintain a positive attitude in the face of rejection is key.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct Engagement: Approach residents or pedestrians to discuss [Insert Product/Cause/Mission] with enthusiasm and clarity.
- Goal Achievement: Meet daily and weekly targets for [petitions signed/leads generated/donations collected/appointments set].
- Data Accuracy: Accurately record interactions and contact information in our CRM/tracking software after every conversation.
- Representation: Serve as a professional representative of the organization, adhering to our brand guidelines and ethical conduct standards.
- Adaptability: Modify your pitch based on the audience to ensure the message resonates effectively.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Resilience: You don't take "no" personally. You can move on to the next door with the same level of energy as the first.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal skills. You can explain complex concepts simply and build rapport instantly.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for 5–7 hours per day in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Strict adherence to schedules and team commitments.
- Previous Experience: [Optional: 1+ years in customer service, sales, or field organizing is preferred, but we value coachability over experience.]
