REGISTERED NURSE: University Hospital (Adult Emergency Services) We are a Level 1 Trauma Center with 87 beds, capable of cardiac monitoring, and with 5 resuscitation bays and 15 critical care beds in our Emergency Critical Care Center. Registered Nurses care for patients with a variety of injuries or ailments and will receive specialized training for care within specific areas such as triage and resuscitation. Documentation is performed for all patients in the electronic medical record. Expectations of the Position Successful candidates must obtain ACLS during orientation, and obtain Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 6 months post orientation to maintain position. These will be obtained through UMHS Emergency Department. Required Qualifications Current Michigan Registered Nurse License One (1) year of current (at least 20 hrs/week) experience in an Adult ED or Adult ICU as an RN Resume required: a complete and accurate resume must be attached for both internal and external applicants Applicant must have met or will have met all required qualifications prior to the start date of employment Desired Qualifications BSN preferred Excellent interpersonal communication skills Experience as a Charge Nurse Pediatric experience Current ACLS, TNCC, or PALS certification Benefits Competitive hourly rate and shift differentials. Actual Nursing Framework Level and salary will be determined at the time of hire. Nursing Framework levels range from Level A to Level F.
