Corporate Development Associate, Investment Strategy (Onsite)

Corporate Development Associate supporting Thermo Fisher Scientific's M&A strategy and inorganic growth initiatives. The role involves evaluating acquisition opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and assisting with transaction execution across the organization's global business units from the Waltham headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Support M&A strategy development and track acquisition opportunities throughout transaction lifecycle
• Build financial models, valuation analyses, and pro forma M&A projections for leadership review
• Conduct industry and competitive research to inform strategic business justifications
• Participate in due diligence processes and support transaction execution activities
• Assist with integration planning and special projects as assigned by Corporate Development leadership

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, science, or technical field
• 1+ years M&A or strategic planning experience, or equivalent at investment banking/consulting/accounting firm
• Strong financial modeling and valuation analysis capabilities
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects with meticulous attention to detail
• Capacity to work effectively with senior executives in high-pressure environments
