Senior Specialist, Project Management - Value & Implementation (VIPM) (Hybrid)

Merck seeks a Senior Specialist in Project Management for Value & Implementation to lead cross-functional teams through drug and vaccine development initiatives. The role involves managing moderate-complexity projects independently or partnering on complex assignments across therapeutic areas within a hybrid structure.

Responsibilities

• Manage Value and Implementation processes for moderate-complexity projects or partner on high-complexity initiatives
• Guide cross-functional teams through creation, approval, and execution of integrated project plans
• Build and maintain project plans in enterprise systems while identifying risks and enabling stakeholder communication
• Facilitate team meetings, document outcomes, and resolve conflicts to drive business results
• Participate in ongoing training and advocate for process improvements within GPAM

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; scientific or applied discipline preferred
• Minimum three years project management or related experience in pharmaceutical/biotech
• Advanced degree (MPH, MS, MBA, Ph.D., PharmD) preferred
• Project management certification (PMP) and formal project management training strongly preferred
• Knowledge of value and implementation components across functional areas
• Cross-functional leadership and project management expertise
