Commercial Real Estate (CRE) provides a fully integrated platform of banking, financing, and capital markets solutions to commercial real estate clients including financial sponsors, institutional investors and asset managers, regional developers, and public and private corporations.

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Execution Consultant to support the Community Lending and Investment (CLI) line of business Chief Operating Office (COO) within Commercial Real Estate (CRE). The CLI line of business primarily invests and finances affordable housing properties along with supplying capital to CDFI's and investors in New Market tax credits.

This role supports our focus on building strong customer relationships while maintaining a strong risk and compliance culture. Responsibilities include execution of all applicable risk programs, such as Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, and Regulatory Compliance, as well as adherence to Wells Fargo policies and procedures, fulfillment of risk and compliance obligations, timely escalation and remediation of issues, and sound risk-based decision-making. There is a strong emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, and sound decisions aligned with the business unit's risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

In this role, you will:

• Be a contact for creating and distributing business level reports for the CLI business heads
• Partner with business teams to gather information for reporting and system updates
• Manage incoming requests and support ongoing work for the Control group
• Partner with relevant teams to support effective onboarding and offboarding activities
• Work with business leaders and Finance partners to refine reporting data and enhance existing reports
• Build and automate Excel reports to assess business performance
• Create and maintain desktop procedures and job aids
• Ensure the accuracy of data used for reporting
• Track internal portfolio monitoring deadlines and prepare meeting materials
• Collaborate with COO staff and business partners to support team priorities

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of Affordable Housing, commercial real estate, or large bank operating environments, including finance, operations, controls, or risk
• 2+ years working within financial services preferably supporting CIB or CRE
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to work with financial statements and accounting concepts
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to execute work with follow-through
• Strong business execution, organizational, judgment, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team orientation and flexibility to provide backup support as needed
• Ability to independently manage detailed work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Process improvement mindset supported by data and facts
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Salesforce
• Experience with AI and workflow tools that reduce manual tasks through increased automation
• Willingness to support special projects as needed
