Nutrition Instructor - Pediatrics

Description Participates in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nutrition education program at Swedish Medical Group. Assesses patient's self‑care needs, ability to manage care and applies the nutrition care process while teaching patients and families. Formulates an educational plan, implements the plan, evaluates and revises the plan as needed. Communicates information and coordinates patient care with appropriate members of the health‑care team. Participates in the development of educational materials. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nutrition Sciences or Dietetics. Upon hire: Washington Dietitian Certification, or Washington Nutritionist Certification, or National CDR Registered Dietitian (Commission on Dietetic Registration). 4 years nutrition experience, preferably one year in ambulatory care setting or community health. 2 years experience with teaching and public speaking. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Nutrition Sciences or Dietetics. 2 years department‑specific experience (e.g., pediatrics, gastroenterology).
