Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week, float pool position. Float coverage required across multiple units. Weekend and holiday rotation required (minimum 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule). 1:5 patient ratio.

• Epic charting system utilized across all units
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Travel assignment with flexibility for two pre-approved time-off requests
• Adult and geriatric patient populations with diverse diagnoses

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS certification required; ACLS, CPI, and NIHSS preferred
• Proficiency in IV starts and telemetry monitoring required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
• Two professional references required (at least one must be from a manager, director, or formal supervisor)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Key Skills:

• Blood product administration, central line care, heparin protocols, IV insulin protocols
• Cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care
• Chest tube management, wound care/wound vac, PCA pump management
• Pre/post neurosurgery care, traumatic brain injury, CVA, spinal cord injury management
• Total joint replacement and ortho trauma experience preferred

Those outside Ohio but within driving distance must travel to an Ohio fingerprinting location promptly; remote candidates will receive mailed fingerprinting packets requiring urgent completion. Responsiveness to credentialing requirements is essential. Former employees must have been away from any facility location for 6+ months to be eligible. Current employees at any location are ineligible for travel positions.
