Make a difference each day supporting students as a Special Education Paraprofessional in a rewarding contract role beginning August 13, 2026 and running through May 27, 2027. Work close to Sacramento, CA, assisting K-12 students in either 1:1 or classroom support capacities, and contribute to a positive learning environment where every learner thrives.

Skills and qualifications that will help you succeed in this role include:

• Demonstrated patience, empathy, and understanding while engaging students with a range of abilities and learning needs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, fostering effective collaboration with teachers, specialists, administrators, and families
• Experience implementing behavior support plans, utilizing positive intervention strategies consistent with district expectations
• Proven ability to assist with instruction, adapt and reinforce lessons as directed by certified staff
• Flexibility to adapt to various student needs and evolving classroom environments
• Dedication to confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical standards
• Solid organizational and observational abilities, with a talent for accurate recordkeeping and progress tracking
• Familiarity with following IEPs and a commitment to helping students achieve their academic, social, and behavioral goals

In this position, you’ll gain valuable experience working with a single student or providing broader classroom support, guided by certified staff, for 30 hours per week across five days. Openings are available in a range of grade levels.
