Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct a diverse range of ultrasound assessments, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety during examinations, patiently explaining each procedure with clarity and kindness
• Collaborate effectively with radiologists and referring clinicians to ensure superior quality of diagnostic images
• Manage imaging technology proficiently, promptly addressing any equipment issues
• Maintain precise documentation of procedures and patient records within the electronic medical record system
• Engage continuously with advances in ultrasound techniques and practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or similar
• Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program is preferred

Required Certifications

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent is necessary
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Essential Skills

• Demonstrated technical proficiency in sonographic imaging and patient positioning
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
