IT Project Manager - Infrastructure UAT & Relocation

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for an IT Project Manager - Infrastructure UAT & Relocation for a contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in Dallas, TX .


This is a hybrid position requiring onsite attendance 4 days per week .


This role supports a major infrastructure relocation initiative and requires a highly engaged, proactive Project Manager who can quickly understand the technology environment, take ownership of the UAT/readiness strategy, and drive execution across multiple infrastructure teams. The successful candidate must be comfortable operating independently, identifying risks and gaps, developing strategy, and clearly presenting plans and status to management.


This is not primarily a Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity role . The primary focus is infrastructure relocation coordination and UAT strategy/execution, with operational resiliency incorporated into the overall testing and validation approach.
Responsibilities:

• Lead technology coordination and readiness activities supporting office and business relocations.
• Develop and own the UAT strategy and testing approach for infrastructure services supporting users at new locations.
• Design new test scenarios and adapt existing testing frameworks based on project requirements and the technology environment.
• Partner with infrastructure teams to develop appropriate UAT plans and ensure testing is executed completely and on schedule.
• Drive testing and readiness across network, end-user computing, telephony/Trader Voice, audiovisual, physical security, and facilities infrastructure as it intersects with IT .
• Coordinate UAT execution, identify gaps and risks, drive issue resolution, and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Validate that technology services and IT-dependent solutions are operational and ready for users following relocation.
• Quickly learn the existing technology environment and proactively identify requirements, dependencies, risks, and testing needs.
• Monitor implementation activities and ensure infrastructure solutions meet applicable Enterprise Operations Resiliency requirements.
• Partner with Business Continuity Management teams to ensure relocations maintain or appropriately adjust business continuity requirements.
• Develop clear, concise, and accurate PowerPoint presentations depicting strategy, readiness, risks, progress, and overall project status.
• Confidently present strategy and project updates to management and other key stakeholders.
• Provide timely, concise status reporting without requiring significant management oversight.
• Coordinate cross-functional technology teams and ensure accountability for assigned deliverables.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Project Management, Infrastructure Delivery, UAT/Test Management, or a similar technology delivery role .
• Demonstrated experience developing UAT strategy and owning testing through execution and completion .
• Experience supporting infrastructure migrations, office relocations, technology deployments, or similarly complex infrastructure initiatives .
• Working knowledge of multiple infrastructure domains, including network, end-user computing, telephony, AV, security, and related infrastructure services .
• Proven ability to quickly understand a new technology environment and independently develop an effective delivery/testing approach.
• Strong project ownership with demonstrated ability to proactively identify issues, determine risk, drive resolution, and escalate appropriately.
• Experience coordinating multiple cross-functional technology teams and driving deliverables to completion.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills, including the ability to create succinct and accurate PowerPoint presentations and confidently present to management.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong status reporting, tracking, and data analysis skills using Excel and other project management tools .
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with limited day-to-day direction.

Preferred Skills:

• Financial Services experience.
• Experience with Business Continuity Management, operational resilience, or Disaster Recovery .
• Experience validating infrastructure resiliency as part of UAT or technology implementation.
• Experience working within regulated or highly controlled enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with formal change management, risk management, and technology governance processes.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
