Work Environment

The successful candidate will be working onsite in clients' homes in Falls Church, Virginia, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families. You will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing muscle function while aligning with each client's goals and physician's prescriptions.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans, while providing guidance and support where necessary.
• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the client's function through diagnostic tests and develop personalized therapy plans.
• Analyze the home environment to provide recommendations that facilitate a safe and independent living space for clients during their recovery.
• Administer therapy services and provide education on therapeutic techniques to clients and their families, emphasizing the importance of adherence to prescribed exercises.
• Document patient progress meticulously, preparing initial evaluations, care plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Actively participate in case conferences with interdisciplinary team members to strategize holistic treatment options for clients.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust the use of prosthetic and orthotic devices, making suggestions for improvements to enhance client mobility.
• Complete timely clinical records submissions and follow through with all documentation to maintain compliance with agency policies.
• Serve as a mentor to Physical Therapy Assistants, providing oversight on their patient interactions to ensure best practices are followed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current physical therapy license in good standing for the state of Virginia.
• Certification in CPR and a valid driver's license with automobile insurance.
• Possess critical thinking and decision-making skills, with a creative approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Experience

• At least one year of experience as a Physical Therapist in an acute care or home care setting.
• Experience in developing and implementing individualized rehab plans.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and documentation standards.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 – 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
