The City of Alvin offers an excellent benefit package including a voluntary Mission Square 457 deferred compensation program and membership in the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS). Job Announcement: Under direct supervision, performs various groundskeeping duties as necessary in the maintenance and beautification of City right-of-ways and easements. Performs minor street maintenance duties as assigned. The incumbent must be able to perform duties according to detailed instructions with adherence to prescribed standards and procedures. Reports to the Street Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred, supplemented by up to six months of previous experience or training in street maintenance and/or heavy equipment operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Salary: Hourly rate is 16.31/ hour.
