Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments to establish a clear understanding of clients’ symptoms and their severity, focusing specifically on mood disorders.

• Craft individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that take their goals, preferences, and specific situations into account.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)—to effectively address various mood disorders.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment methodologies, and self-care techniques to empower them in managing their conditions.

• Regularly monitor client progress, adapting treatment strategies as needed to maximize effectiveness and responsiveness to changing needs.

• Work closely with our psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated and holistic approach to patient care.

• Stay informed on the latest advancements in the treatment of mood disorders to continually enhance therapeutic efficacy.

• Maintain detailed notes and documentation related to client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, ensuring adherence to ethical and legal standards.

• Engage in case consultations, participate in team meetings, and attend professional development seminars to sharpen clinical skills and stay updated on best practices.

• Champion the de-stigmatization of mental health challenges within the community, advocating for clients to receive the care they need without judgment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. We serve a diverse clientele from varied backgrounds, reinforcing the importance of cultural competence and understanding in treatment. Your compassionate approach will be vital in creating a safe therapeutic environment tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New York state as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, preferably with a focus on mood disorders.
\n
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment methods, including CBT and DBT, applicable to mood disorder cases.

• Comprehensive understanding of psychopharmacology to enhance collaborative efforts with prescribing psychiatrists.

• Demonstrated success in delivering effective therapeutic interventions and achieving positive patient outcomes.

• Exceptional communication skills, fostering rapport with clients and their families from various demographics.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working within an outpatient office setting and comfortable using telehealth platforms to deliver care.

Compensation and Benefits\n
