What You'll Do:

• Assist with adult cardiac surgery procedures such as CABG, valve repairs, and ascending aortic surgeries
• Support emergent cases including dissections and redo sternotomies
• Perform procedures like chest tube and temporary pacing wire placement
• Assist with endoscopic vein harvesting and mechanical circulatory support procedures (Impella, ECMO, IABP)
• Collaborate with cardiac surgeons and the surgical team in the OR
• Adhere to safety and healthcare standards in a high-volume academic hospital setting
• Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR

What You Need:

Required:

• Board Certification in specialty (preferably Adult Cardiac Surgery)
• MO licensure for nursing practice
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of independent adult cardiac surgery OR first assist experience

Preferred:

• RNFA certification
