The Riverside County Sheriff's Office is currently recruiting Correctional Deputy Trainees and Deputy Sheriff Trainees to be assigned throughout Riverside County. Correctional Deputy Trainee Series Correctional Deputy Trainee – (While in the 12‑week academy) Correctional Deputy I – (Upon successful completion of the academy) Correctional Deputy II – (Upon successful completion of an 18‑month probationary period) Hourly: $28.93 (Trainee) | $30.52–$37.14 (I) | $33.49–$46.62 (II) Monthly: $5,014.46 (Trainee) | $5,290.53–$6,437.31 (I) | $5,805.31–$8,080.22 (II) Annual: $60,173.57 (Trainee) | $63,486.36–$77,247.77 (I) | $69,663.67–$96,962.67 (II) Deputy Sheriff Trainee Series Deputy Sheriff Trainee – (While in the 6‑month academy) Deputy Sheriff – (Upon successful completion of the academy) Hourly: $39.35–$51.64 (Trainee) | $42.35–$64.75 (Deputy) Monthly: $6,819.82–$8,951.34 (Trainee) | $7,340.41–$11,223.90 (Deputy) Annual: $81,837.82–$107,416.03 (Trainee) | $88,084.95–$134,686.79 (Deputy) Qualifications Education: High‑school graduation, California State Board of Education Certificate of Proficiency, or satisfactory G.E.D. score. License: Valid Driver’s License at application time. Age: Minimum 18 years old for Correctional Deputy Trainee; minimum 20 years and 9 months old for Deputy Sheriff Trainee.
