Payroll Specialist

I am seeking a temp to hire Payroll and Accounts Payable Specialist to support weekly payroll processing and high-volume Accounts Payable operations. Payroll is the primary need, but candidates with strong AP or AR backgrounds will also be considered.
Title: Payroll and AP Specialist (temp to hire)
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM (flexible start time)
Location: Madison (east side) 100% Onsite
Compensation: $27-32 depending on level of experience
Responsibilities
- Process weekly payroll for approximately 400700 employees using Paycom
- Review timecards and expense reports and submit payroll by Tuesday deadlines
- Assist with payroll reporting, GL-related functions, and funding
- Support full-cycle AP approximately 3 days per week
- Review and process 300400 invoices weekly
- Respond to vendor payment inquiries and resolve invoice/payment issues
Requirements
- Payroll and AP or Payroll and AR strongly preferred, but AP or AR experience will also be considered
- ERP system experience required
- Microsoft Office/Excel experience
