Payroll Associate

Job Requirements The Payroll Associate is responsible for the weekly compiling and processing of in-house payroll for 600+ employees. Essential Job Responsibilities Review weekly timesheets to ensure all employees are paid accurately in accordance with agreements. Process ACH and employee pay stubs. Update employee information in payroll accounting software. Report and reconcile multi-Union benefits. Report and reconcile multi-state and Federal employee taxes. Process employee child support and garnishments. Assist with state and union audits. Address inquiries from employees, unions, and taxing authorities. Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. Other Duties As assigned. Qualifications & Required Knowledge / Skills High school diploma or equivalent and 2-5 years of advanced payroll experience. College level courses in payroll, accounting or business preferred. Experience processing payroll in construction industry preferred. Familiarity with Viewpoint software a plus. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and in a team-oriented environment. Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality.
