Senior Director, Strategy & Commercial Excellence- Advanced Endoluminal Robotics

Job Description As the principal global strategic architect and operational leader for the Advanced Endoluminal Robotics GI portfolio, you will be a senior executive within the Endoscopic Solutions Division (ESD). Your primary focus is to unify the global approach to digital and robotic surgery markets across divisions, driving the strategy, development, and commercialization of next‑generation robotic platforms for GI. You will report directly to the head of AEI solutions and serve as the primary strategic partner for both short‑ and long‑term strategic planning. Job Duties Strategic Leadership & Corporate Governance Formulate, refine, and own the 3‑to‑5‑year global strategic roadmap for the Endoluminal Robotics portfolio, balancing capital system placement with consumable pull‑through. Serve as the primary strategic advisor, executing directives from the Steering Committee and presenting business cases to the Global Executive Team. Direct, align, and streamline cross‑functional operations, removing friction and ensuring unified commercial execution. Partner with Corporate Business Development to identify and evaluate acquisition, licensing, and partnership opportunities. Support digital health strategies, including cloud connectivity, data privacy compliance, and AI‑driven clinical decision support tools. Innovation & In‑Market Transformation Guide cross‑functional teams (R&D, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory) through the front‑end innovation process, defining unmet needs for future robotic generations. Develop global go‑to‑market strategies for new robotic systems. Fund, launch, and evaluate rapid, small‑scale commercial pilots in target global areas. Translate technical performance metrics into clear clinical, financial, and operational value messaging for hospital C‑suites and Key Opinion Leaders. Collaborate with Medical Affairs to build a robust HEOR strategy supporting premium pricing. Oversee TCO models, financing/leasing strategies, and capital‑to‑disposable economics. Market Intelligence & Investors Alignment Design global primary and secondary research frameworks to track competitor placements, regulatory shifts, and pricing pressures. Cultivate relationships with world‑class endoscopists and surgeons. Monitor competitive landscapes, IP, and emerging surgical trends. Support Corporate Planning and Investor Relations with strategic insights on digital/robotic runway, valuation, and IP strength. Job Qualifications MBA, Master’s, or PhD in Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, Healthcare Management, or a comparable business‑focused discipline. Minimum of 10 years progressive commercial strategy, product management, corporate development, or business transformation leadership within the medical device industry. Domain expertise in Surgical Robotics, Digital Surgery Ecosystems, or Advanced Interventional Endoscopy preferred. Proven track record leading capital/disposable medical ecosystems to global success. Strong regulatory knowledge of FDA (PMA/510k) and CE Mark frameworks. Experience navigating rapid technological shifts and AI integration in surgery. Ability to influence and gain buy‑in across decentralized, multi‑divisional environments without direct authority. Advanced financial modeling capability (DCF, TCO, capital‑to‑disposable monetization). Excellent communication skills, translating complex engineering data into clinical value propositions. Comfort collaborating with GI endoscopists, clinical investigators, regulatory consultants, software/AI engineers, and financial analysts. Travel up to 35 % (domestic and international). Preferred Qualifications Direct experience operating within Surgical Robotics, Digital Surgery Ecosystems, or Advanced Interventional Endoscopy. The anticipated base pay range for this full‑time position is $191,155 – $286,734 per year, plus potential for an annual bonus subject to plan eligibility and other requirements.
