Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Exciting contract opportunities are available for passionate Special Education professionals seeking to make a meaningful impact in a supportive educational setting near Cleveland, OH. Two roles are open for the upcoming academic year, serving students in a single school building with dedicated support structures.

Position Details:

• Contract duration: August 24, 2026, through June 7, 2027
• Weekly commitment: 37.5 hours
• Manage one classroom for students with multiple disabilities (MD), including autism, non-verbal, and physical impairments—class sizes range from 9-12 students
• Oversee one classroom focused on emotional disabilities (ED), providing behavioral intervention plans (BIPs), social-emotional learning, and crisis intervention—class sizes range from 10-15 students

Candidates should have proven experience teaching in special education environments, placing emphasis on individualized instruction, classroom management, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The ability to adapt instructional approaches to meet diverse needs and communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues is essential.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active and valid Special Education teaching license
• Prior experience with multiple disabilities or emotional disabilities populations preferred
• Strong skills in developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Knowledge of behavioral intervention strategies and crisis management
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities
• Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive learning spaces

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver tailored instructional strategies based on each student’s unique needs
• Implement and monitor IEPs and BIPs
• Provide effective social-emotional instruction and crisis intervention where required
• Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families
• Maintain accurate records and documentation according to school and regulatory requirements
