HR Assistant

Summary:We've partnered with a local nonprofit in search of a Human Resources Assistant to join them on a temp-to-hire basis! In this role you'll provide direct support to the HR team by maintaining employee records in the HRIS, assisting with leave management inquiries, supporting onboarding, and other general administrative tasks. This position is fully onsite in Madison, WI. Hours are full-time Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. Pay is $21-$25 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities:Assist with maintaining accurate employee records
Respond to routine employee questions; direct complex inquiries to appropriate HR team member Assist with submitting job openings in Paylocity Support planning and execution of HR projects and employee engagement initiatives Stay up to date with HR trends and best practices Maintain confidentiality Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred 2+ years of related experience in HR, office administration or related support role Experience using HRIS platforms strongly preferred Working knowledge of HR best practices and confidentiality requirements Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information #MMAS
