Patent Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Description Crowell & Moring is seeking a mid-level associate to join our Intellectual Property practice in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County, San Francisco or Washington, DC. Candidates must have 2 to 5 years of patent litigation experience in federal district courts, including drafting pleadings, motions and briefs; managing written discovery; and conducting legal research. Preparing for and participating in depositions and other phases of litigation is preferred. Candidates must have an undergraduate or advanced degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a closely related technical field. Hands‑on coding experience in modern programming languages is strongly preferred. Candidates should have the technical aptitude to work effectively with complex technologies and collaborate with clients across a broad range of industries. Candidates must be a member of the state bar for the office to which they are applying or otherwise eligible for admission by waiver. All candidates should have excellent academic credentials as well as highly developed organizational, writing and analytical skills. The salary range for this position is $225,000 to $320,000, with potential discretionary bonus. The salary may vary based on market data, applicant’s skills and prior experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other factors.
