Regional Director

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Demonstrate appropriate healthy and ethical behaviors in all interactions, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality standards, and serve as a role model for staff. Directly supervise Program Directors, including screening employment candidates; conducting employment interviews; hiring and training of employees; planning, assigning and directing workflow and related processes; consistent appraisal of staff performance; acknowledging and addressing performance issues; use of progressive discipline as appropriate; application of conflict resolution; and addressing complaints and resolving problems – all in accordance with Agency policies and applicable regulations. Collaborating in the development and management of the program’s annual budget. Conduct at a minimum, monthly visits to all programs to assist Program Directors in workload management and understanding production targets. Foster and promote a culture of continuous process improvement across all programs to enhance efficiency, quality of care, and organizational effectiveness. Maintain a thorough understanding of and commitment to regulatory expectations, ethical standards, and Agency policies, including the Core Beliefs. Proactively manage responsibility for the achievement and continuing maintenance of the Agency’s CARF accreditation. Implement and ensure adherence to policies and procedures that facilitate the achievement of organizational objectives and promote quality care in alignment with Agency standards. Ensure that all programs comply with State and County contractual requirements, regulations, policies, and treatment service guidelines. Actively engage in discussions and initiatives related to the Agency’s Core Beliefs, cultural competency, ethical practices, and evidence-based methods, consistently promoting these values among staff. Represent the Agency in networking and community outreach activities, enhancing visibility and collaboration within the community. Foster and maintain constructive relationships with Program Directors, staff, family members, community organizations, human services agencies, and other professionals, including State and County personnel. Lead and participate in Agency Quality Assurance initiatives, including internal monitoring, quality improvement projects, and the preparation of outcome reports as needed, assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones and completing referral and screening forms accurately and comprehensively. Attend required program staff meetings, mandated agency meetings, and both on-site and off-site trainings as directed. Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and alcohol/drug-free environment. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Credential, Education, and Experience 1. Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral health related field and a minimum of two years’ experience in the behavioral health field OR current SUD certification with a State approved certification agency. 2. If SUD certified, must maintain 40 continuing education units during each certification period. If behavioral health pre-licensed - Minimum Credential, Education, and Experience 1. Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Science Examiners (BBS) as an AMFT, ACSW, or APCC. 2. Must remain license eligible and maintain current registration per BBS regulations. 3. Must maintain 36 continuing education units during each registration renewal period. 4. Must take the BBS Law & Ethics exam within the first year of the registration renewal period. 5. Must receive clinical supervision hours by a BBS qualified licensed individual. 6.
