Overview & ResponsibilitiesThe IT Financial Analyst serves as the financial business partner and control owner for the IT organization's complete financial lifecycle. This position owns the global annual IT budgeting process for EEE's $41.9M IT OpEx/CapEx portfolio, leads monthly forecasting and variance analysis, and builds the Run – Protect – Innovate cost categorization and Technology Business Management (TBM) framework needed to trace every dollar of IT spend to a business outcome. The role is EEE's financial control point for third-party spend — vendor contracts, telecom, software licensing, and (as cloud adoption grows) multi-cloud consumption — and serves as the financial owner and scorekeeper for EEE's Digital Transformation Program, tracking pilot funding, net value, and portfolio-level return as the program scales from individual pilots into a governed, accountable practice.Using established IT financial management (ITFM), Technology Business Management (TBM), and FinOps practices, the role uses EEE’s benchmarks as a baseline for ongoing reporting and performance management. The role tracks results against benchmark-informed targets and business objectives, analyzes cost and consumption variances, identifies structural cost-reduction opportunities, and supports the implementation and Finance validation of initiatives intended to deliver $2.0M to $4.5M in near-to-mid-term savings.BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCEBS degree in an Accounting, Economics, or IT related field.MBA or Master's degree in Financial Engineering / Information Systems preferred.FinOps Certified Practitioner (FCP), ITIL certification and/or TBM Council training or certification is preferred.7+ years of experience in IT financial analysis, corporate FP&A, or technology managementDirect experience building IT financial governance from a foundational or immature state (no formal budget process, ad hoc contract tracking) into a forecast-driven, governed practice is highly preferred.Specialized expertise in IT capital/operating budget development, cloud unit economics, and TCO modeling within a multi-site global manufacturing enterprise is strongly preferredPrior experience supporting, building, or operating a Technology Business Management program is preferred, including familiarity with the TBM taxonomy, service/product costing, allocation methods, unit economics, and showback/chargeback.Intensive knowledge of IT financial engineering, and CapEx/OpEx capitalization rules under IAS 38 for software/cloud deployment — including capitalization of eligible SaaS-implementation labor, cost-of-service (COS) allocation methodology, rate provisioning, and multi-entity global chargeback structures.IFRS experience preferred.Cloud & FinOps Mastery: Working technical understanding of public/private cloud billing structures, consumption metering, and commercial pricing models across major hyperscalers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).Technical & Analytical Tools: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and enterprise ERP financial modules — Oracle E-Business Suite specifically (EEE's core financial system).Experience with enterprise BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau) and ITFM/FinOps tools such as Apptio, Cloudability, or Flexera.Strategic & Negotiation Support: Proven track record evaluating vendor agreements (SaaS, IaaS, software licensing, systems-integrator contracts), negotiating standard protective terms (SLA credits, termination for convenience), identifying underutilized assets, and supporting vendor management during commercial negotiations to capture cost savings.Cross-Functional & Cultural Awareness: Strong communication, conflict resolution, and consensus-building skills required to align business process owners, IT architects, and executive finance leaders across diverse, globally dispersed Elliott Group and Ebara Corporation operations.Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex IT operational and financial data into concise business language and present actionable findings to CIO/CFO leadership, service owners, and nontechnical stakeholders.NATURE OF THE JOBThis is a senior staff-level financial engineering and analytical position — and, initially, a foundational build role. EEE's IT budget process today consists of a single spreadsheet with no formal categorization, contract calendar, or forecasting discipline, so the incumbent's first mandate is building that foundation before shifting into steady-state optimization. The four principal activities that define this role are:Directing and Controlling: Directing the annual global IT budget development; building the formal budget process, contract/renewal calendar, and Run – Protect – Innovate categorization that do not exist today; controlling project and operational spend variance across global IT cost centers; and administering corporate cloud FinOps rate cards and chargeback mechanisms as they come online.Analyzing and Consolidating: Collecting, modeling, and consolidating datasets from vendor invoices, ERP systems, and IT service management platforms to build dynamic cost-of-service models, demand forecasts, and financial dashboards — including ongoing tracking against industry benchmarks.Designing and Developing: Designing ITFM frameworks, the TBM cost-traceability model, the Digital Program's funding and net-value tracking model, software asset rightsizing processes, and multi-tier chargeback methodologies tailored to global business unit consumption.Partnering and Influencing: Persuading IT leaders and business process owners to adopt cost-optimized decisions and standard contract terms, holding Digital Program initiatives to a net-value-vs-TCO standard and fail-fast discipline in partnership with the Digital Decision Team, and building the case for reserved-capacity or committed pricing as cloud adoption grows.While standard accounting guidelines and general corporate finance policies govern routine work, a significant portion of this role involves responding to novel, complex situations — evolving cloud pricing structures, emerging technology business cases, and custom financial impact models for digital transformation initiatives across global Elliott Group and Ebara entities.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIESFoundational IT Budget Process & Annual Planning — Owns, designs, and executes the annual IT operating (OpEx) and capital (CapEx) budgeting process across all global Elliott Group and Ebara IT departments, starting from the ground up: EEE's IT budget currently runs off a single spreadsheet with no formal process, categorization, or renewal tracking. Builds and maintains the Run – Protect – Innovate spend/time categorization and, over time, Technology Business Management (TBM)-based cost traceability from raw spend to business outcome, in partnership with Finance, ahead of the 2027 budget cycle.Spend Analysis, Forecasting & Variance Control — Conducts monthly, quarterly, and rolling financial spend analyses to monitor budget performance, identify variance drivers, and evaluate financial risk. Maintains a master contract/renewal calendar to eliminate the missed renewals and avoidable overage fees identified in a recent IT Assessment, and builds predictive forecasting models for compute, storage, software licensing, telecom, and operational cost trajectory.Vendor Contract & Sourcing Discipline — Partners with IT leadership and Procurement to move vendor agreements toward standard, defensible terms — SLA credits, termination-for-convenience protection, and clear consolidation/renewal timing — replacing the largely time-and-materials, limited-recourse structure found across current contracts. Verifies any assumed “global EC agreement” before purchase, and supports Procurement in bringing hardware, software, and telecom categories to Ebara Corporation as candidates for group-level enterprise agreements.Cost-of-Service (COS) & Chargeback/Showback Engineering — Develops, implements, and maintains COS accounting and rate-provisioning chargeback/showback models, allocating shared technology costs and common IT services transparently to EEE's 25+ global business units and cost centers based on actual usage and value.Software Asset Management & Cost Optimization (FinOps) — Stands up Software Asset Management (SAM) as the single source of truth for license entitlement vs. consumption, driving elimination of duplicate/overlapping licensing (starting with EEE's concurrent Google and Microsoft collaboration-suite spend) and other opportunities identified in the ISG benchmark. Builds multi-cloud billing validation, rightsizing, and commitment-pricing discipline proactively, ahead of EEE's cloud adoption curve.Telecom Expense Management — Owns telecom and carrier spend validation and benchmarking (EEE's telecom tower runs an estimated 86% above market) and leads the near-term carrier renegotiation effort identified in the IT roadmap.Digital Transformation Program — Financial Ownership — Serves as the financial control point and scorekeeper for EEE's Digital Transformation Program as it scales from pilots to a governed portfolio: administers the ring-fenced, self-replenishing innovation funding pool, scores each initiative on net value (business benefit minus IT cost) against total cost of ownership, feeds actuals into the quarterly portfolio review and Digital Program scorecard, and tracks reinvestment of realized savings back into the pool.Business Case Engineering & Capital Governance — Partners with IT project managers and business process owners to construct rigorous financial business cases (ROI, NPV, IRR, payback period) for major technology initiatives, digital transformation pilots, and capital investment requests, including the pending ERP roadmap decision.
