Job Title: Mainframe Production Support SMELocation: Plano, TX (Hybrid)Job Description:This job is responsible for supporting critical Mainframe applications to accomplish business goalsKey responsibilities of the job include ensuring that applications are functioning as designed address batch or customer issues and find improvement opportunitiesAnalyze production issues restore batch abends and create adhoc data reports as requested by Line of BusinessJob expectations include a strong knowledge of Mainframe batch applications programming languages such as COBOL JCL Easy trieve and commonly used Mainframe toolsServe as hands on Subject Matter Expert and support issues resolution Priority 1, 2, 3Assess and suggest process improvements enhancements and performance improvementsMaintain documentation of the issues and knowledge of business processesApplication Release and Deployment SupportProduction TicketIssue Triage supportIdentify root cause in the code perform breakfix activities in the code andor DBCreate adhoc data reports as needed by Line of BusinessProvide support after office hours weekends and oncall support when business needsRequired Qualifications10 years of developingsupporting Mainframe based applications10 Years of developing batch using Job Control Language JCL10 Years of analyzingdeveloping COBOL Easytrieve programs10 Years of experience working with Flat files VSAM DB2 and IMS DBDC5 Years of experience with tools such as CA7 NDMFTP File ManagerDesired QualificationsGood communication skills both written and oral are required as the individual must interface with application developers support teams and managementExperience with Consumer banking or Deposits applications
