About the Role:

The Carryout Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of carryout services within a retail or grocery environment. This position is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of carryout associates, ensuring that customer orders are handled with accuracy, care, and timeliness. The supervisor will lead by example, providing guidance and support to team members to maintain high standards of customer service and operational excellence. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with other departments to optimize workflow and resolve any issues that may arise during the carryout process. Ultimately, the Carryout Supervisor ensures a positive customer experience by managing resources effectively and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in retail or food service.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and order processing.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a grocery or retail environment.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory software.
• Certification in food safety or related training.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.
• Bilingual skills to assist a diverse customer base.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of carryout associates to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.
• Train new employees on carryout procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.
• Monitor daily operations to maintain quality control and adherence to company policies.
• Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with store management and other departments to streamline carryout processes and improve overall service delivery.
• Manage scheduling and attendance to ensure adequate staffing levels during peak and off-peak hours.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all carryout activities.

The Carryout Supervisor utilizes strong leadership and communication skills daily to guide and motivate their team, ensuring that all carryout orders are completed accurately and efficiently. Customer service skills are essential for interacting with customers and resolving any issues that arise, maintaining a positive shopping experience.
